Judy – ‘I can’t wait to be Chieftain’

We’re starting to get pretty excited as the heat is turned up on preparation for the Games (along with the weather, we’re glad to say) so we’d asked Judy how she feels about being Bridge of Allan Highland Games Chieftain this year.

“I can’t wait. I love the highland games. Just don’t make me dance……I’m really thrilled to be asked. I’ve always loved Bridge of Allan Highland Games – I’ve been going since I was a little girl.

I love everything about it, but my favourite events have got to be the tug of war, the Caber toss and throwing the “kettle”. I love pipes and drums too. My favourite is “Scottish Soldier” And “Flower of Scotland”.

I’m very patriotic and the Highland Games are a huge part of our tradition and culture, I have a huge sense of community and events like the Highland Games bring everyone together. Plus there’s the opportunity to ‘beefcake’. As a big cake fan, this is an important factor :)”

We’re delighted to have you on board too Judy!
