Camelon and District Pipe Band 
Based in Falkirk, Camelon and District Pipe Band are a registered charity serving the local community teaching piping and drumming to people of all ages from 10 upwards. We offer a teaching system for all pipers and drummers and strive for our main aims and objectives of competitive playing.

Carnoustie & District Pipe Band

In 2010 the band entered its first official RSPBA competition and has made continued progress each year at the various major contests including the British, Scottish, European and World Championships.

City of Discovery Pipe Band

The City of Discovery Pipe Band, formed in November 2014 in Dundee evolved from the recent success of the 6th/8th Dundee Boys’ Brigade Pipe Band.  The B.B. band were upgraded to Grade 3A after coming 2nd in Grade 4B at the World Pipe Band Championships in 2013 and winning Grade 3B at European Championships in 2014.

The City Of St Andrews Pipe Band
The Band was formed in 1972 and is based in St Andrews in the North East of Fife. It first competed in 1974 and since those early days has competed at all levels and won many contests and major championships.

Founded in 1968, Dumbarton and District Pipe Band consists of two bands, one competing in Grade 2 and the other in Novice Juvenile.

George Watson’s College

George Watson’s College Pipes and Drums have three bands of varying ability. Competing all over the UK at Juvenile and Novice Juvenile level, the Pipes and Drums are now one of the most successful teaching establishments in the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.

The Glasgow Skye Association Pipe Band

The band was formed in 1968 and 45 years on is still going strong. The band were winners of the Grade 2 “Champion of Champions” in 1986 and are the only remaining Pipe Band with “Glasgow” in their title.

The band are very passionate and proud of their long standing connection with Glasgow and the Glasgow Skye Association and wear the MacLeod of Skeabost tartan. In recent years the band altered their title to “The Phoenix Honda Glasgow Skye Pipe Band” to reflect their new connection with John McGuire of the Phoenix Car Company Ltd.

Greater Glasgow Police Scotland Pipe Band is a grade one pipe band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band was one of the first civilian bands in Britain when it formed in 1883 as the Burgh of Govan Police Pipe Band.

Portlethen & District Pipe Band 

Formed in 1980, with humble beginnings, the town band performed at local events in and around Aberdeenshire. Today the Grade 3 band is one of the city’s most progressive and fastest rising in the region. Led by Pipe Major Julie Brinklow & Leading Drummer Danny Brown we boast over 40 members and practice in Aberdeen city centre. The Band actively compete at minor and major contests and enjoy a well balanced competing and social life.

The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service Pipe Band
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was established on the 1st of April 2013 and It replaced the eight previous fire and rescue authorities and joint fire and rescue boards.

Scottish Power

The band, who have been sponsored by ScottishPower since 1989, are one of the world’s leading grade 1 pipe bands having featured as a regular prizewinner in all major competitions over several decades. Twice Cowal Champions, Scottish Champions, All-Ireland Champions and runners-up in the World Championships are just some of their awards.

The band have appeared before The Queen at Braemar, for the Pope at St Peter’s in Rome, with Sir Paul McCartney at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, at the Lord Mayor’s Show in London, at the Official Opening of the Scottish Parliament and at the 75th Royal Variety Performance.

Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia

Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band is one of the most successful and celebrated pipe bands in history. 16-time winners of the RSPBA World Pipe Band Championships, Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia has been an institution in the pipe band world for over a century. The band is led by Pipe Major Ryan Canning and Drum Major Andrew Lawson, and is based in Shotts, Scotland.

St Francis Pipe Band 

Since its very foundation the band has always had a piping and drumming school and although it was initially aimed at the young folk of the Gorbals area, the more recent experience of the band members is that we want to encourage anyone regardless of race, religion, creed or colour to participate in what we do.

Wallacestone and District Pipe Band

The band is recognised as one of the oldest surviving civilian pipe bands in the world, having been formed in 1887 in the village of Wallacestone, which is a few miles outside Falkirk in Central Scotland.

Originally financed by local miners who contributed part of their wages each week to establish the band, it is now completely self-supporting.  The Hunting Sinclair tartan has been worn by Wallacestone since 1974.

The Cameron Highlanders of San Diego

Formed in 1946, the band was originally the San Diego County Pipe Band and because of the alliance with Clan Cameron of the Order of Scottish Clans, the name was changed to the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band. It is now the oldest continually performing pipe band in California and is one of the oldest in the USA.

City of Cockburn Pipe Band- Australia 

Established in 1997 the band has been involved in numerous community events and assists in encouraging others to learn the pipes or drums.

The band is made up of a mixture of members, from youngsters who have just started learning to more mature players who still enjoy a few tunes together.

Clan MacPherson

The Clan MacPherson Pipe Band was organized in 1921 when a committee from the local Clan MacPherson 80, O.S.C. (Order of Scottish Clans) was formed to raise funds to buy the necessary equipment to start the band. The Clan MacPherson Pipes and Drums remain one of the oldest pipe bands in New England with strong ties to the Merrimack Valley.

Edmonton Youth Pipe Band-Canada
Formed in 1929, by Pipe Major John Robertson, the “Edmonton Boys’ Pipe Band” (EBPB)  is the oldest pipe band in the City of Edmonton. It has operated continuously under the sponsorship of the Edmonton Boys’ Pipe Band Association, a non profit organisation.

Los Angeles Scots (LA Scots)- USA

Since the 1990 relaunch of the LA Scots, the band has been home to over 150 band members – some who travel thousands of miles to be a member of this successful organization! The current Grade 1 group is made up of 24 Pipers, 15 Snare Drummers, 7 in the Bass & Tenor Section, and a Drum Major.  The band is also home to a Grade 4 competition group currently numbering 14 Pipers, 4 Snare Drummers, and 3 Midsection Drummers. Many of our players are active instructors, judges, and respected leaders within the international pipe band community.

Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band -New Zealand
The Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band is New Zealand’s largest Pipe Band organisation, currently having over 110 members, comprising three competing bands, the main Grade One Band, Grade Two Band, a Grade 4 / Juvenile Youth Development Band, along with an active supporters club and an administrative body. Manawatu Scottish was established in 1925 and is based in Palmerston North, New Zealand. The band has a close affiliation with the Manawatu Scottish Society, extending back to when the band was first formed.

Perth Metro Pipe Band

Perth Metro was formed in Western Australia on the 11th March 2007 by a small group of pipers and drummers with a vision to improve the standard of young players by providing the best possible tuition available in Western Australia. The band wears the Lion Heart Tartan, which was designed & developed by P/M Robert Mathieson from the KiltCentre in Scotland.

Portland Metro Pipe Band (PMPB)

Coming over from the USA, Located in Portland, Oregon, the Portland Metro Pipe Band (PMPB) is the premier collection of pipers and drummers. Founded in 2006, consists of premier pipers and drummers from all over the Pacific Northwest; including players ranging from Corvallis, OR to Seattle, WA.

While mainly a competitive band, we also perform parades, commencements, and events around Oregon.

Rob Roy Pipe Band, Kingston, Ontario, Canada 

The Rob Roy Pipe Band and Highland Dancers of Kingston, Ontario, Canada is a strong community organization with a long history of offering instruction in piping, drumming and dancing.

The pipe band was established in 1953 with the dancers forming in 1962. As one of only a few permanently integrated band and dancer groups, Rob Roy performs in many engagements (parades, community events, competitions) a year throughout Canada, the United States, and Scotland.

Scots College Sydney

The Scots College Pipes and Drums are synonymous with the College’s heritage and have proudly worn the tartan of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) since they were given permission to do so back in 1931.

St Andrews Pipe Band Canada

In the spring of 1973, several graduates of the Lord Selkirk Boy Scout Pipe Band approached Pipe Major Robert Fraser, founder of the Lord Selkirk Boy Scout Pipe Band, and asked if he would be interested in starting up a senior band. The St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg was approached as a possible sponsor and immediately approved of the plan. The Band adopted the Earl of St. Andrews tartan, and held its first practice on November 15, 1973.

St Johns College Pipe Band

St Johns College Pipe Band is coming all the way from Zimbabwe to join us this year. The band is the flagship of the Colege Eash year the band has gone on tour to South Africa and they have also competed in the World Championships in Scotland in previous years.


St Thomas Alumni

From Houston, Texas

The St. Thomas Alumni Pipe Band is a Grade 2 pipe band based out of Houston, Texas, USA.

In 2011, the band placed 4th overall in the Grade 2 finals of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. In the same competition in 2012, the band moved up two spots to 2nd place overall. 2013 and 2014 saw the band place 5th and 6th overall, respectively.
