As work is under way getting the Games field ready for the big day in August, we’re delighted to introduce our brand new website!
Whether you’re a first-time visitor, regular attendee or a competitor, we hope you find it useful and interesting. If you have any feedback or suggestions for things you’d like to see added, drop us a note by using our contact form .
We’re also just getting under way with new Twitter and Facebook pages , so you can follow the story and share your ideas with us there as well.
Big thanks are due to Stirling Council for their financial contribution to building the new website, without which all this wouldn’t have been possible. It’s great to see our local authority getting behind events, culture and tourism in the Stirling and Strathallan area.
Out thanks also go to Allan Paterson, of Farmore IT services. Farmore is a local company, based in Bannockburn, which offers a range of IT development and support services, as well as creating highly effective websites for businesses and other organisations. Web designer Allan’s been great to work with and we’re all delighted with the end product.
Allan commented: It was an honour to have been asked to help design and build the new BofA Games website. We worked closely with the committee to build a responsive WordPress website to help promote this years festivities. We’re hoping that our work will help promote the Games and make the 2014 event the best yet.
Another important contributor is Bill Robertson, who’s been taking professional class photography at Bridge of Allan Highland Games for as long as most people can remember. many of his emotive images appear in this new website so thank you Bill!
So . . just 53 days to go ’till the skirl o’ the pipes hits the Strathallan Games field once again. We can’t wait and hope to see you there!
